The International Academy
for Information Management
Mission
Statement
The
The objective of IAIM is to provide a forum in which interdisciplinary researchers and educators in information systems can exchange ideas, techniques, and applications. This objective is realized through various activities and publications.
The Academy sponsors an annual conference in December at which competitively selected papers and panel discussions are presented. A Best Paper Award is announced and all papers presented are published in the Proceedings, which are distributed to all attendees.
A special issue of the Journal of Informatics Education Research, published on-line, contains refereed articles addressing excellence in MIS education. The Journal’s mission is to provide a forum for the presentation of research focusing on quality advances in IS and MIS instruction and curricula. It serves those investigating innovative IS education delivery processes and emerging IT topics with significant curricula and instructional implications.
The annual conference provides members with opportunities for continued professional growth, development and networking. Please refer to our web site, www.sig-ed.org, for the most current information on AIS SIGED: IAIM activities.
